Locals Run Way Too Cool 50K

Fifteen Georgetown Divide residents will compete on March 13th in the Country’s most popular 50K Run, Way Too Cool. In previous years, registration filled in less than 10 minutes. This year, the 589 entrants were chosen from an automated lottery process which extended over several days. 100 additional applicants were selected for a wait list to replace entrants who drop out before the start of the race. Good luck to this year’s local runners: Pamela Bailie, Chris Conwell, Michele Cullenward, Barbara Johnson, Frank Lieberman, Diana Lundy, Nancy March, Jeremy Meyers, Deb Peter, Jim Sale, Becky Spencer, Herb Tanimoto, Allyson Thomas Conwell, Donald Wilkison and Kathy Young. The race course starts and finishes at the Olmsted Loop and follows trails within the Auburn State Recreation Area.

The very next day, March 14th, the Olmsted Loop hosts the Cool Mountain Bike Race. Auburn Bike Works puts on this very popular event offering something for every member of the family. Prepare yourself for lots of mud.
